He was born on May 15th, 1989 in the Western suburbs of Illinois. His interest in martial arts began with my childhood love of Jackie Chan movies, Professional Wrestling, and martial arts influenced cartoons and super heroes. As soon as he saw my first UFC event as a teenager he decided Mixed Martial Arts was something he needed to pursue. After a few Mixed Martial Arts fights, dozens of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments nationwide, and lifelong friendships formed he could never imagine my life without martial arts. He look forward to spending the rest of my life with this infinite source of happiness.

Question: What inspires you about BJJ? MMA?
Answer: Martial arts inspire me because I am able to test my abilities every single day. It's the most addictive game on the planet.
Question: What are your goals for this year? Next 3 years? Next 5 years?
Answer: My goals are always to continue to stay focused, train hard and win competitions. My long term goals are to earn my black belt and open my own academy.
Question: Who inspires you, past or present? Why do they inspire you?
Answer: My mentors Daniel and Pedro Vianna and Evan Mannweiler. They inspire me every day to improve as a martial artist and an overall human being.
Question: Any major accomplishments you’ve been able to achieve in that time?
Answer: IBJJF Adult No Gi champion. FIVE Grappling Expert Adult No Gi champion.
Question: What separates you from every other fighter in your division?
Answer: My true love and dedication towards BJJ seaprate me from others.
Question: How long have you been training?
Answer: 7 years
Question: How often do you train??
Answer: I train 6-7 days a week. 2-3 times a day.
Question: What sort of gear do you usually keep in your gym bag before hitting the gym? Do you have different items for specific days?
Answer: My go to essentials for my gym bag are the following: Gi, Belt, Shorts, Rash guard, Shorts, Mouthpiece, Tiger Balm, Finger Tape, and Knee Brace.
Question: Do you have a go-to finishing move?
Answer: Triangle choke from any position!
Question: What do you think it takes to be a champion in your sports?
Answer: To be a champion in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu you must truly love it and be dedicated to it. Don't be immediately dismissive to any knowledge and be honest with yourself.
